Today I was passing out candy at my Mother-in-Laws house because nobody ever comes to our apartment to get candy, plus it’s a busier neighborhood. Most kids were wearing the same store-bought costumes that were popular last year. There were tons of Transformers, fairies, Star Wars, Ninja, and superhero costumes.
What bothered me the most was this one kid who was wearing a Clone Trooper outfit from the Star Wars prequels and carrying a lightsaber. I wanted to tell him that Clone Troopers do not use lightsabers and his costume was grossly inaccurate but the Mrs. stopped me. There was also a kid walking around in army gear with a Stormtrooper blaster, that really made no sense. There was one parent that was walking around with his kids who was wearing a movie quality Darth Vader outfit that even made breathing sounds, that was pretty cool, wonder if he paid for it or rented it because those things are expensive. If I were rich I would wear one of those to go grocery shopping.
There were some awesome costumes too, like this one kid who was dressed up like a bed then he lifted the bed up and had a Scream ghost costume on underneath. It was pretty cool except he couldn’t move his arms so his mom had to hold his candy bag for him. I was dressed up as a ghoul and carrying around a severed arm which I put candy in and made the kids grab the candy out of it’s palm. A lot of kids were creeped out, but one kid told me that she “appreciated my technique”. That made my day.
Last night I went downtown to the big drunken Halloween party that takes place every year the Saturday before Halloween. Saw some cool costumes and lots of slutty ones, many that I have posted about before. There were a few original costumes as well. It was 35 degrees last night and there were still a bunch of drunk college girls outside in their underwear which they considered Halloween costumes so it was awesome as always. There was one costume that I saw a lot of which I never posted about: the slutty Super Mario Bros. costume. Incredibly hot and disturbing at the same time.

Yes, I saw many disturbing things downtown last night!
My favorite costume at the downtown Kent Halloween party was Marie Antoinette.
She was carrying a sign that read:
“Representing the 1 %.
Let Them Eat Cake!
Sponsored by the Republican Party
RNC Approves This Message”
